In a difficult weather environment, workers' comfort demands intelligent design, strict quality control and robust construction. Porta-Kamp builds camps for every climate extreme. The buildings are extra durable to deal with all weather conditions.
Tropical conditions in South America to desert conditions in North Africa and the Middle East, the buildings are designed for high temperatures. Special doors keep heat out and cool air in. Skids and metal parts can be galvanized to eliminate corrosion. A steel floor box mitigates bug problems and controls damage from arid or tropical environments.
Porta-Kamp camp buildings are engineered and outfitted to ensure that your employees feel comfortable, no matter how difficult the climate. Options in design and finish are so extensive that we can provide purpose - designed camp structures for virtually any use.
Conditions in the North Slope are extreme and temperatures are at - 50F. In low-temperatures, Porta-Kamp utilizes the high spraying techniques of polyurethane Foam featuring R-40 insulation on roof, walls and floors. The camp structures are connected so that employees don't have to go outside to reach another building. Windows are Pella, argon-filled fiberglass.
Once the structures are in place at the camp, they are fully enclosed by halls. The Arctic camps are built for Heli-Lift, Trailer-mounted or placed directly on ice pads.
